Young Investigators Workshop III
September9 14, 2010
Following on from the previous two highly successful events, this year’s workshop was held in central London, England. The invitation was extended to all young researchers, be they post-docs or students, engaged in ageing research within LifeSpan, Link-Age and DNAge. The aim of the workshop was four-fold:
To give young researchers from different labs the opportunity to meet one another, and openly discuss their research.
To present inspirational keynotes and provide a platform for young investigators (YIs) to present their own work in a relaxed and supportive environment.
To introduce the idea of collaboration across diverse fields, one of the key benefits of the NoE.
To introduce YIs to fields and techniques that they may not otherwise be exposed to.
In total 30 people attended the meeting, 26 young investigators, and 4 invited speakers.
